I binged this week. I had been 144 days since the last time. So what led to this binge? It was not anything big, probably a lot of little things: overwhelmed at work, finally talked to the guy about the franchise, email from SIL about how nephew is doing, decision/fear to write letter pat, possibility of having friends over to eat this weekend, the chicken on my big salad at lunch, craving for licorice but no licorice to satisfy, trying to satisfy craving with payday bar, having ww snacks in my office for over a week now, giving in to one ww snack which turned into eating 4 more. The binge was on Wednesday. It stopped after the payday and the 5 ww snacks and I have eaten normally since then. Thursday was a struggle. I wanted to binge again, but it was just the processed food talking. I am feeling better today.
We've made it to the gym twice the week. It is Sugar Pop's early week, so I have walked on the treadmill for 10 minutes four mornings this week. I used to hate early week because it threw off my routine and I didn't have any alone time in the house after work. I still don't have the alone time after work, but I have altered my morning routine for the week and walking on the treadmill is something I look forward to on these weeks.
I am still maintaining my weight within my weight range. I was up a little over the range earlier in the week, but that was water retention from the Italian food we had on Saturday night. Even with my mid-week binge, I am still "in the range." It is a great place to be.

Keeping Company
Monkey see, monkey do. When we spend enough time around those in a particular scene, our actions usually become similar. It is just the way we're made. And it is especially true if the one in the minority is insecure and unsure...All things being equal, if you run with bad company, you will be corrupted. The good won't rub off on them. Their bad will rub off on you. ~ Living above the Level of Mediocrity by Charles Swindoll via the Life Lessons Devotional
I struggle a lot with my eating habits when I am around people who don't eat healthy. At home and in my routine, I do great. But get me out of my routine and put me around people who don't eat the way I do and I pick up their habits quickly. I don't like to draw attention to myself and refusing dessert at a party is one way to quickly draw attention to yourself. (It's not that I don't ever eat dessert, it's just that I like to save desserts for special occasions and then they need to be GREAT desserts; not just a sheet cake at an office birthday party.)
On a good note, our office is going to start Weight Watchers at Work next week. Almost everyone is participating. Which means that the company I keep at work is going to be changing their habits to mine.

Did you miss me?
Did you notice I was gone for a week? Sugar Pop and I went to Nashville for GMA Week and the Dove Awards. We had a really good time and got to listen to a LOT of Christian artists peform. Hopefully, we made some good contacts for Sugar Pops music, but only time will tell what develops on that front. The excitement of the week for me was getting to meet Mike & Jeannie from the Air1 Morning Show.
So, after a week of being away from home, eating whatever whenever, and not exercising, the scale was up 2.4 lbs. I was amazed that it wasn't more. My six week maintenance period is now officially over and I am returning to weight loss points again. My 20 year high school reunion is in 48 days and I have 8.6 lbs to lose to be back at my goal weight. Not impossible, but not a breeze either.
I am happy to be back home and back to my healthy habits and healthy eating and exercise. After a week of indulging, it feels good to return to discipline.

Weekly Weight Average
Today is the day I calculate my weekly weight average. It was 130.9. Exactly the same as last week (totally amazing). I am THRILLED! At the beginning of the week I was afraid I wouldn't end up in my weight range (127-131) this week. I am excited to be there (even though it is just barely).
Today is my first Sunday to not where my pedometer or exercise. It is great. You know God really knew what he was doing when he invented the Day of Rest. I feel free today - free from guilt about not exercisings, free from worries about getting all my steps in, free to sit back and relax. I love it.

Worst Weight Entry Day
On D's recommendation I downloaded Weight Commander last week. I entered my weights for the last 90 days (that is as far back as you can go). This morning I entered my weight and a chart popped up and said, "
Sundays have been your worst weight entry day for the past twelve weeks. This makes it doubly important to be very careful today."OK, I *knew* Sundays were bad because I tend to indulge on the weekends, but I didn't know that the gains on the past 12 Sundays added up to 12.2 lbs. That was an eye-opener. Fortunately I have had losses on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. So, I will be very careful today.
