Heart Rate Monitor

I finally did it! I have been wanting a heart rate monitor for months and months. A friend gave me a $35 gift certificate at Amazon for my birthday so I decided to put that towards the Polar F6 Heart Rate Monitor. I'm excited and looking forward to using it at the gym. The machines there do not pick up my heart rate well at all and so I can't assume I am working out at the right level.

My twelve year old needs to pick a female Roman Catholic SAINT to study as part of her confirmation process. She wants someone very interesting - unusual - must be female - ideas? I don't konw if you are cahtolic - but thought you might have ideas for her.

Maria Goretti - http://www.catholic-forum.com/SAINTS/saintm09.htm
I have seen a great program about her on EWTN. I think it was done by Bob & Penny Lord. Here is a link to buy the video: http://www.bobandpennylord.com/holy.htm There videos can be a little "hokey" but I was very moved by her story.

St. Bernadette of Lourdes and you could rent The Song of Bernadette movie.

St. Rita of Cascia (St. of the Impossible). http://www.catholic-forum.com/SAINTS/saintr01.htm

Both St. Bernadette and St. Rita's bodies are incorrupt if that would be interesting to her.

There is also Therese of Liseux - The Little Flower. http://www.catholic-forum.com/SAINTS/saintt02.htm

If she likes music there is St. Cecilia. http://www.catholic-forum.com/SAINTS/saintc04.htm

By the way, I grew up in the Catholic Church but fell away in my early twenties. I would LOVE to return but DH is not Catholic and has been married before, so until he wants to become Catholic and go through the annulment process (note in the foreseeable future), we are both attending a nondenominational church together. Someday...though I will return to the church.
